Teen Hangout

The group begin in the fall of 2023 and has welcomed well over 50 youth during this time. Teenagers from Moss Bluff Middle and Sam Houston High School attend as well as home school students and even some former high schoolers now attending their first year of college. We focus on the love of Jesus, not religion, so any teen is welcome no matter their personal beliefs. The majority of students are not members of the church so it is really a very diverse group!

The program is spearheaded by Kaley Cryer and Kathy and Andy Fincke. Kaley is a Teen Substance Abuse Counselor and volunteers her time for Teen Hangout. Kathy Fincke is a retired middle school teacher with a youth ministry backgroup, while her husband Andy is retired military and worked in the Calcasieu Parish School System as a Teacher’s Aide before his retirement. Kaley coordinates the program while the Finckes serve as counselors and prepare food.
