1. Get involved with your PRAYERS.
Each Sunday morning worshipers write prayer requests on The Pastor's Cards that are found in the pews. These prayer requests are shared with the pastor and with the church community through e-mail and through the worship bulletin. You can get involved with prayer by offering your prayer requests and by praying for others who are asking for prayer.
2. Get involved with your PRESENCE in worship & small groups.
We have worship services every Sunday morning, and we have small group ministries for children and youth on Sundays. On Sundays and throughout the week we also have a variety of small group ministries for adults including the Journey Into Discipleship & Spiritual Formation classes. You can read about these opporunities on this website, or you can contact the church office for more information.
3. Get involved with your GIFTS.
At Moss Bluff UMC we believe generosity is central to the Christian life. When worshipers give financial gifts in the offering plate or through the Mission of the Month they do more than pay for ultilities and maintenance of the buildings, they are involved in funding the caring, teaching, and mission ministries of this church, and they are involved in funding the connectional & global ministries of the United Methodist Church, ministries like Africa University that educates and trains United Methdist doctors, teachers, and pastors for the continent of Africa or ministries like church planting and initiatives for clean water in Cambodia. Through giving we make a difference in our church and through our church in the world.
4. Get involved with being a WITNESS for Jesus Christ.
As you visit with your family, your friends, your co-workers, or your neighbors, tell your story of faith. Share with them what your experience at the Moss Bluff UMC has meant to you. Use the postcard of the latest sermon series, or use this website to invite them to come with you to church.
5. Get involved through SERVICE.
Each quarter our church publishes a "Serving Catalogue" of a list of short-term ways people can put their faith into loving action. For the most up to date list of choices of ways you can serve, contact the church office.
6. Get involved through becoming a MEMBER of the Moss Bluff United Methodist Church.
When you take a step of faith to become a member of the church, you are asking the church to take responsibility to help you become a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. If you would like to become a member contact the church office or fill out one of the Pastor's Cards in worship. Becoming a member involves your baptism at any Christian church in the past or present and taking membership vows that include a profession of your faith in Jesus Christ.
